证监会八部门：强化互联网平台和信息清理

Odaily Planet Daily News The China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) and seven other departments have jointly issued the "Comprehensive Action Plan to Rectify Illegal Cross-Border Securities, Futures, and Fund Business Activities." A key task mentioned in the action plan is to strengthen the regulation of internet platforms and the cleanup of related information.

The Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC) will urge domestic internet platforms to improve their review and monitoring systems for content related to illegal cross-border business operations. Based on notifications from financial regulatory authorities, platforms must promptly clean up and remove relevant illegal information and accounts. Seriously problematic internet platforms and online self-media accounts will face rigorous regulatory talks and potential penalties. The telecommunications authority will, according to lists provided by financial regulators, remove or shut down domestic websites and apps involved in illegal cross-border operations by overseas institutions. Market regulatory authorities will take action against illegal advertisements identified and reported by financial regulators.
