Odaily Odaily Planet Daily News On May 18, Bain Capital announced that its sixth Asia-focused fund ("Asia Fund VI") had completed its final closing, with a total size of US$10.5 billion. Of this, approximately US$9.1 billion came from external investors, exceeding the original fundraising target of US$7 billion. Yuji Sugimoto, Partner at Bain Capital and Head of Asian Private Equity, stated that the firm remains optimistic about the vast opportunities in the Asian market and will increase efforts in talent development, technological empowerment, and platform capability enhancement to achieve business scale growth at a steady and prudent pace.
