Odaily Planet Daily News: Russian state-owned oil company Gazprom has required its 17 subsidiaries to open digital ruble accounts with the Central Bank of Russia. Testing of the Russian digital ruble began in August 2023, and as of the end of 2025, over 130 legal entity accounts have participated in the platform testing, in preparation for compliance with regulations set to take effect on September 1. According to the regulation, legal entities must be able to accept the digital ruble as a payment method for goods and services.
