Iran's Foreign Minister reiterates lack of trust in the US, but still hopes to maintain the ceasefire to preserve diplomatic space
Odaily News Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated in New Delhi on Friday that Tehran has "no trust" in the United States, and that negotiations with Washington would only be possible if it demonstrates "seriousness." Speaking during a BRICS foreign ministers' meeting, he said Iran is trying to maintain the current ceasefire in order to create room for diplomatic efforts. According to multiple media reports, Araghchi emphasized Iran's long-standing lack of trust in the US, and noted that any communication under the current circumstances depends on the US showing a "serious and credible stance."
