Iran's Foreign Minister reiterates lack of trust in the US, but still hopes to maintain the ceasefire to preserve diplomatic space

Speaking during a BRICS foreign ministers' meeting, he said Iran is trying to maintain the current ceasefire in order to create room for diplomatic efforts. According to multiple media reports, Araghchi emphasized Iran's long-standing lack of trust in the US, and noted that any communication under the current circumstances depends on the US showing a "serious and credible stance."
