Odaily reports that Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson, while discussing the removal of Section 604 of the CLARITY Act, stated that the provision could hold open-source developers legally liable for others' use of their code over the long term. He noted that after developers release open-source software, even if someone subsequently misuses the code without permission, the developers could still face perpetual accountability, calling this a serious threat to the open-source innovation environment.
