Odaily Planet Daily News: In an interview with New York's 77WABC radio program, U.S. President Trump stated that the U.S. is waiting for Iran's economy to collapse due to the blockade of its ports, adding that he is confident he can prevent the regime from obtaining nuclear weapons.
Trump said: "We have imposed a blockade, leaving them without money and no way to get money." When discussing the conflict, Trump remarked: "It's just a matter of time. We don't have to rush. We have eliminated their navy, their air force, and their leadership."
Despite stalled negotiations with Tehran, Trump expressed full confidence that Iran will abandon uranium enrichment and any path to nuclear weapons. He claimed that U.S. pressure and the blockade are forcing Iran to comply, adding: "They will 100% stop." Trump also stated that the U.S. is in direct contact with Iranian officials and is not in a hurry to reach an agreement.
