Coincheck secures $65 million strategic investment from Japanese telecom giant KDDI

Odaily reports that Nasdaq-listed Coincheck Group has announced a strategic investment and business cooperation agreement with Japanese telecom giant KDDI Corporation. KDDI will subscribe to 28,536,516 newly issued common shares of Coincheck Group at a price of $2.28 per share, with a total transaction value of approximately $65 million. JPMorgan Chase acted as financial advisor, while De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek and Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP served as legal advisors.
