Vitalik donates another 64 ETH to animal welfare funds, calling for attention to animal welfare issues
Odaily Planet Daily News Vitalik Buterin stated that he has once again donated 64 ETH to an animal welfare fund and called on more people to pay attention to animal welfare issues.
Vitalik stated that the suffering humans inflict on billions of animals remains one of the important yet under-discussed issues in current society, but he is optimistic about improving animal living conditions this century, as agricultural methods and synthetic alternative foods continue to advance. He also noted that the quality of vegan and vegetarian food options globally has significantly improved in recent years.
Additionally, Vitalik specifically mentioned the welfare issues of shrimp, stating that the importance of related topics is often underestimated, and referred to farming practices such as "eyestalk ablation."
