Odaily Planet Daily News: Grayscale submitted the first Zcash spot ETF application on May 8.
The price of ZEC once hit $600, pushing its market capitalization into the top 15 and surpassing Cardano. Multicoin Capital co-founder Tushar Jain stated that this move is based on the growing demand for privacy assets under the proposed U.S. wealth tax legislation. The SEC concluded its review of Zcash in January 2026 without taking enforcement action. Data shows that approximately 30% of the ZEC supply is held in shielded addresses. Last week, U.S. Bitcoin spot ETFs saw outflows of $268 million, with some funds shifting towards privacy and AI infrastructure tokens.
