Bloomberg Analyst: Prediction Market ETF Delay Is Not a Fatal Blow

Odaily Planet Daily News Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas stated on the X platform that the prediction market ETF was not launched as scheduled today, as the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has decided to conduct further review of the related products.

Eric Balchunas said that the delay is "not a fatal issue" at this point, and it seems more like regulators want to conduct additional checks on the disclosure documents. He pointed out that these products are groundbreaking in nature, and once approved for listing, they will set an important regulatory precedent for prediction market ETFs, so it is understandable that the SEC wants to spend more time on review.
