Odaily reported on May 7 (Thursday) that according to Gate data, the Nikkei 225 index closed up 3320.72 points, or 5.58%, at 62,833.84 points, setting a new historical high. The Korea KOSPI index closed up 105.48 points, or 1.43%, at 7,490.04 points on May 7 (Thursday).
