US media interprets Trump's "Freedom Plan" as "Guiding" rather than "Escorting"

Odaily Planet Daily News: U.S. media outlets such as The Wall Street Journal, CNN, and Axios have emphasized that Trump chose the word "Guide" rather than "Escort" when describing how his new naval mission will operate in the Strait of Hormuz. The Wall Street Journal reported that U.S. officials stated the mechanism "does not currently involve U.S. Navy warships escorting vessels through the strait."

CNN quoted a U.S. official saying the plan is "not an escort mission" and that U.S. forces will "guide stranded ships." Axios quoted a U.S. official saying that U.S. Navy vessels will be "on standby nearby" in case Iran attacks merchant ships.
