Odaily Planet Daily News: U.S. President Trump claimed on the 14th that "after defeating Iran," he would soon "declare the Strait of Hormuz as U.S. territory." In response to Trump's remarks, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Gharibabadi stated, "The Strait of Hormuz cannot be controlled by a post, an aircraft carrier, an executive order, or a campaign speech. Iran neither fears threats nor will it be intimidated by military force." Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy Commander Ali Azmaei also said on the 14th that the Strait of Hormuz remains closed and is under the complete control of the Iranian military. "The actual situation should be seen on the ground, not in the statements of American officials." (Jin Shi)
