Jiang Guoli, Director of the Criminal Investigation Bureau of the Ministry of Public Security, stated that since 2023, China has strengthened police cooperation with Myanmar, comprehensively eliminating large-scale telecom fraud parks in the border areas of northern Myanmar. A total of over 59,000 suspected fraud criminals have been captured and handed over, completely destroying the notorious "Four Families" criminal syndicate of Kokang in northern Myanmar. In early 2025, China, Myanmar, and Thailand established a ministerial-level coordination mechanism for jointly combating telecom fraud crimes. They have jointly launched crackdowns on telecom fraud crimes in Myawaddy, conducted 10 joint repatriation operations, and over 630 buildings in the Myawaddy KK Park have been completely demolished.
