According to sources familiar with the matter, SpaceX has begun refusing exclusive commercial launch orders for Falcon 9 after 2028 and has suspended accepting new reservations for the Falcon 9 Rideshare program in order to accelerate the transition to Starship.
Additionally, SpaceX has stopped producing certain non-reusable parts for the Falcon series, but is expected to continue using the Falcon 9 for launch missions for the U.S. Department of Defense and NASA. Sources indicate that if Starship’s subsequent development progress falls short of expectations, the related plans may still be adjusted. (Bloomberg)
