Payment reliability improved: Polygon Ithaca hard fork scheduled for mainnet launch on July 29

Odaily Planet Daily reported that the Polygon Foundation announced on platform X that the Ithaca hard fork has been successfully deployed on the Amoy testnet and will go live on the Polygon mainnet at block height 50,185,000, expected around 22:00 Beijing time on July 29. This upgrade aims to enhance payment reliability by enabling automatic failover during rare instances of block producer stalling to ensure smooth transactions. It also introduces protective mechanisms to block transactions that could slow down or destabilize the network, while providing node operators with clearer visibility to maintain underlying operational continuity. All node operators are required to upgrade as soon as possible to ensure compatibility and network security.
