The hacker entered MetaMask as an outsourced contractor through a long-term partner human resources supplier, bypassing the background checks conducted for direct company hires. He worked at the company for a month and participated in the development of the wallet's fiat on-ramp and off-ramp functionalities. During this period, his abnormal IP address and behavior were detected by the company's security monitoring system. The company subsequently revoked all his access rights and suspended the release of all products he had handled. Currently, no actual data or fund losses have been caused.
