Pre-market highlights: Meta plans to start AI chip production in September and double computing power to 14 GW next year; Micron invests $3 billion to strengthen chip supply chain

Odaily Planet Daily News Pre-market highlights for US stocks are as follows:

1. The three major US stock index futures are collectively rising. Dow Jones futures are up 0.13%, S&P 500 futures are up 0.34%, and Nasdaq 100 futures are up 1.04%.

2. International oil prices are slightly higher. WTI crude oil futures are up 0.13% at $73.617 per barrel; Brent crude oil futures are up 0.60% at $78.485 per barrel.

3. International spot gold and silver are both rising. Spot gold is up 0.99% at $4,117.39 per ounce; spot silver is up 2.21% at $59.55 per ounce.

4. Three major European stock indexes are mixed. The UK's FTSE 100 is down 0.63%, France's CAC 40 is up 0.48%, and Germany's DAX 30 is up 0.29%.

5. Meta plans to start production of its "IRIS" AI chip in September and aims to double its computing power to 14 GW by 2027.

6. Samsung and SK Hynix have postponed the application of hybrid bonding packaging technology in the next-generation HBM4. Industry forecasts suggest the technology may first be applied to 16-layer HBM4E (seventh-generation HBM) chips.

7. Micron Technology has announced a strategic investment of up to $3 billion to strengthen the U.S. chip supply chain.

8. Data from Morgan Stanley shows that the valuation premium of the "Magnificent Seven" stocks over the other 493 stocks in the S&P 500 has fallen to just 10%, a ten-year low, potentially opening a buying window.
