Iranian military warns U.S. forces not to intervene in the Strait of Hormuz, or face a devastating response
Odaily Planet Daily News The Khatam al-Anbia Central Headquarters of Iran's Supreme Joint Military Command said on Wednesday that the Iranian armed forces will give a "devastating response" to the U.S. military. This follows Iran's accusation that the U.S. military launched strikes against parts of southern Iran, calling it an "act of blatant aggression" and warning that Tehran will not allow the United States to interfere in the management of the Strait of Hormuz. The command stated that the only safe passage for merchant ships and oil tankers through the waterway is the route designated by Iran.
The U.S. military launched a new round of strikes against Iran on Tuesday and, after three oil tankers were hit by projectiles in the Strait of Hormuz, revoked the license permitting Iran to export oil, further pressuring an already fragile ceasefire agreement.
