Iranian Speaker: Strait of Hormuz Should Be Jointly Managed by Iran and Oman

Odaily reported that Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf stated on the same day that the Strait of Hormuz should be jointly managed by Iran and Oman. Ghalibaf made these remarks during a meeting with Iraqi Parliament Speaker Haibat al-Halboosi. When discussing the management of the Strait of Hormuz, Ghalibaf noted that a memorandum of understanding recently signed with the United States has stipulated that the Strait of Hormuz should be jointly managed by Iran and Oman.
