TRON Nile Testnet Launches Quantum-Resistant Upgrade

Odaily Planet Daily News: TRON Nile Testnet has launched a quantum-resistant upgrade and released the mandatory upgrade version GreatVoyage-v4.8.2-PQ1-build1. This version introduces post-quantum signature capabilities for the first time, supporting both Falcon-512 and ML-DSA-44 signature algorithms, further advancing TRON's technical exploration and capability validation in the direction of quantum-resistant security.

According to the official introduction, the aforementioned capabilities can be applied to scenarios such as transaction signatures, SR block production signatures, P2P relay node handshakes, and TVM contract signature verification. TRON reminds developers who have deployed Nile Testnet nodes to complete the version upgrade as soon as possible. Meanwhile, the new features will only take effect on the Nile Testnet after passing a proposal vote; the activation of testnet functions does not imply that they will be simultaneously launched on the mainnet.
