A-share First Half Ends with ChiNext Up Over 35% to New High

Odaily Planet Daily News A-shares closed the first half of the year today. At the close, the Shanghai Composite Index rose by 0.5%, the Shenzhen Component Index rose by 2.48%, and the ChiNext Index rose by 2.99%. The ChiNext Index accumulated a gain of 35.58% for the year, hitting a record high. The Shenzhen Component Index rose by 19.82% year-to-date, and the Shanghai Composite Index rose by 3.16% year-to-date. In terms of individual stocks, technology stocks performed strongly. Lianxun Instrument became the new king of A-share stocks, closing at 2322.33 yuan, rising over 2,700% in three months since its listing. Yuanjie Technology accumulated a gain of 326.02% for the year. Cambricon rose by over 75% for the year, entering the trillion-yuan market cap club. Zhongji Innolight accumulated a gain of about 110% for the year. (Jin Shi)
