Odaily Planet Daily Japan's Nikkei 225 index closed up 107.23 points, or 0.15%, at 69,468.11 on Monday, June 29, after falling more than 1% earlier. South Korea's KOSPI index closed up 5.62 points, or 0.07%, at 8,416.83 on Monday, June 29; the KOSDAQ index closed up about 8%. After Samsung and SK announced investment plans, the KOSPI index erased a decline of up to 3.4% and turned positive for the session, while the small-cap KOSDAQ index also rebounded. (Jin Shi)
