Iranian Parliament Speaker: Strait of Hormuz to Be Managed Under Iran's Established Mechanism
Odaily Planet Daily News: On the 22nd local time, the head of the Iranian negotiation delegation and Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, stated that the management of the Strait of Hormuz will never return to its pre-war state. While complying with international law, the Strait of Hormuz will be managed by Iran according to the mechanism established by the country. Ghalibaf said that some issues may arise in the Strait of Hormuz, so Iran and the United States have agreed to set up a coordination center and open a hotline to resolve emerging issues more quickly within a 30-day period. Ghalibaf indicated that this hotline is not for approving transit permits, as relevant permits still follow their established procedures. The hotline is only used to handle problems or emergencies related to vessels. (Jinshi)
