OKX Star: Corporate Culture Is Shaped by Long-Term Results, Not Short-Term Crypto Trading Riches as a Career Goal
OKX founder and CEO Star posted on platform X: "OKX's corporate culture has always included putting customers first, innovation, pragmatism, openness and transparency, and providing opportunities and resources. A company's culture is not defined by slogans, but jointly shaped by its talent, products, values, and long-term results.
To this day, OKX has many veteran colleagues who have been with the company for 5 or even nearly 10 years, continuously learning and improving, as well as many new colleagues from other industries or competitors bringing fresh perspectives and progressive ideas.
Many colleagues with experience at competing firms have reported that OKX's overall compensation and long-term incentive levels are higher than those of many rivals. Recently, a member of our business development team, who joined four years ago and kept their long-term incentives entrusted with the company without cashing out, received millions of dollars in returns upon maturity. We are proud of such cases.
However, OKX does not encourage employees to pursue careers centered on crypto trading or getting rich quickly. Instead, we advocate a model combining generous short-term cash incentives with robust long-term incentives. Some individuals driven solely by the desire for quick wealth cannot accept OKX's internal policies, such as the prohibition on issuing tokens, insider trading, and accepting bribes. At the same time, competitors have offered tempting conditions to some, leading them to leave. We wish these former colleagues well.
We have also seen many cases where individuals attracted by short-term gains to join competitors quickly lost their value and were cast aside. Every company has its own characteristics. We welcome all legal forms of competition and will strictly combat any actions that violate the law or professional ethics.
Regardless, we are always proud when former OKX colleagues continue to excel at other companies. At the same time, we will persist in creating industry-leading compensation, an open and transparent culture, generous incentive mechanisms, and a long-term career platform for our current colleagues."
