Odaily Planet Daily News The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission is preparing to introduce a new policy that would allow crypto companies to offer blockchain-based tokenized stock trading. According to SEC Chairman Paul Atkins, companies will be permitted to experiment with new digital asset business models, including the tokenization of U.S. stocks, without needing to fully comply with existing disclosure and investor protection rules. The proposal has raised concerns among traditional financial institutions such as Citadel Securities and SIFMA, who argue that the changes could divert liquidity and pose risks of regulatory arbitrage. As of now, the SEC has not issued any public comment on the matter.
