Iran Announces New Rules for Passage Through the Strait of Hormuz, Ships Must Submit Applications 48 Hours in Advance

Odaily reported that the "Persian Gulf Strait Authority" of Iran stated that, in light of the signing of the Iran-US Memorandum of Understanding and instructions from relevant authorities, vessels that submit passage applications in accordance with the prescribed requirements within the announced timeframe and meet the relevant conditions will be arranged for passage through the Strait of Hormuz. According to the passage requirements, vessel transit applications must be submitted at least 48 hours before arriving in the Strait of Hormuz area.
