The Nikkei 225 index closed up 196.57 points, or 0.28%, on Friday, June 19, after briefly falling over 0.5% during the session, at 71,250.06 points. The Korea KOSPI index closed down 14.81 points, or 0.16%, on Friday, June 19, after briefly dropping over 3% during the session, at 9,049.03 points.
