Odaily Planet Daily News: The Pakistan Virtual Asset Regulatory Authority (PVARA) has launched a public consultation on the draft "2026 Pakistan Virtual Asset Service Regulations" and accompanying specialized manuals. The deadline for feedback is 4:00 PM local time on July 2nd. The draft establishes a licensing and regulatory framework for Virtual Asset Service Providers (VASPs), clarifying rules on corporate governance, risk management, cybersecurity, anti-money laundering (AML), among others. It is accompanied by operational manuals for ten categories of licenses. This consultation aims to improve the local regulatory framework and align Pakistan's virtual asset regulatory system with international standards set by the FATF.
