Israel says it will continue to deepen military operations in Lebanon

Odaily Planet Daily News Today (June 14), the Israel Defense Forces issued a statement saying that the IDF Chief of Staff, Zamir, stated during an inspection of the Northern Command that the IDF will continue to advance military operations in Lebanon in order to seek more favorable conditions in future Israeli-Lebanese negotiations mediated by the United States. The statement said that Zamir held a situation assessment meeting with commanders at the division and brigade levels of the IDF Northern Command that day. Zamir stated at the meeting that the current regional situation is "sensitive and complex." Although Lebanon is currently the IDF's "core strategic direction," the IDF is also maintaining a high state of alert for potential developments on other fronts. (CCTV International News)
