Zcash Core Developer: Progress on the Ironwood Upgrade, Multiple Organizations Reach Consensus on Key Changes
Odaily Planet Daily News Zcash core developer Sean Bowe provided an update on the progress of the Ironwood upgrade, stating that over the past 48 hours, protocol developers from various organizations have held two meetings and reached consensus on multiple specifications and implementation details for Ironwood. This includes disabling the Orchard pool bundle in Coinbase transactions, using anchors as authentication data for hardware wallet migrations, and the processing order of ZIPs and specifications.
Currently, the Ironwood circuit and the ZIP 2005 integration draft are under review. The Valar Group has completed the testnet setup and implemented some wallet-side changes. Meanwhile, formal verification work is progressing steadily, with the development team planning to meet tomorrow to determine the final verification strategy. Additionally, at least three major auditing firms are conducting security audits of Orchard, and multiple AI audit tools have also been deployed concurrently. Sean Bowe stated that overall development is progressing smoothly.
