The agreement is expected to extend the ceasefire by 60 days, covering Lebanon, and facilitate nuclear negotiations during this period.

Reports indicate that the US and Iran have reached a consensus on the text of the agreement, but final approval is still required. The memorandum includes a framework for addressing Iran's enriched uranium stockpile, with Iran pledging not to seek nuclear weapons. The related nuclear arrangements still need to be implemented through subsequent, more detailed agreements.

Additionally, the agreement requires restoring shipping levels in the Strait of Hormuz to pre-war conditions within 30 days.
