Odaily Planet Daily News, Citrini analyst jukan posted on platform X, stating that from July 1, Murata will increase the factory prices of its full range of power inductors by 50%; Taiyo Yuden will uniformly raise the spot prices of supply-constrained power inductor models by 150% and increase the prices of standard models by 35%.

Note: This round of power inductor price hikes is the latest continuation of the passive component price surge since the end of 2025, having progressively spread from tantalum capacitors → resistors → MLCCs/ferrite beads to power inductors. Japanese giants (Murata, Taiyo Yuden) have strong pricing power in high-end products, with Taiwanese and mainland Chinese manufacturers (such as Yageo, Walsin Technology, Fenghua, Sunlord) following suit in multiple rounds.
