NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang met Faker on first stop of Korea visit: "Korea is the birthplace of esports"

Odaily Planet Daily News: On the first stop of his visit to Korea, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang visited the T1 base camp in Hongdae, Seoul, and met with Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok, a player from the League of Legends team T1, drawing attention from the esports community.

Huang stated that Korea is the birthplace of esports and the shaper of viewing culture, adding that numerous top Korean players have contributed to the success of GeForce graphics cards. He emphasized that Korea holds a special place in his heart and is a very important market for NVIDIA, saying, "We are also your fans."

The meeting took place at the T1 base, attended by T1 players Doran, Oner, Peyz, Keria, and T1 COO Ahn Woong-ki. The exchange built upon previous collaborations on projects like VALORANT and was themed around "Meeting PC Bang Players." During the interaction, when asked about the graphics card he uses, Faker responded "5070," sparking interest.

Huang also introduced NVIDIA's new-generation AI PC platform, RTX Spark, describing it as the new computing architecture for the future AI era. Faker commented that the meeting with the NVIDIA CEO was very meaningful and expressed gratitude for the technological and industrial support that aids the development of professional esports. (Zdnet)
