US media: Lebanese official says Hezbollah is ready for a full ceasefire with Israel

According to an advisor to Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri, Berri told the Trump administration on Sunday that Hezbollah is ready for an immediate and full ceasefire with Israel and committed to ensuring the implementation of the agreement. The escalating conflict in Lebanon threatens to undermine hopes of reaching an agreement to end the war with Iran, especially as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has threatened to attack Beirut.

Iran's Tasnim News Agency reported on Monday that Iran's negotiation team has suspended talks with the US through mediators to protest Israel's actions in Lebanon. Berri is one of the most powerful Shia political figures in Lebanon with close ties to Hezbollah, though US and Israeli officials question whether he can truly ensure Hezbollah's compliance with the rules.
