Gate launches real stock trading service, crypto accounts directly access global capital markets
Odaily Planet Daily News According to official announcements, Gate, a leading global digital asset platform, has officially launched a real stock market trading service, bridging the connection between crypto assets and traditional financial markets. Users can now directly trade stocks and ETFs from mainstream exchanges like Nasdaq and the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) using USDT on the Gate platform. Different from the common stock tokenization and RWA mapping models prevalent in the current market, Gate stocks emphasize real market access and compliant trading capabilities, connecting with compliant broker-dealers holding US Broker-Dealer licenses and clearing qualifications to access the US mainstream stock and ETF trading markets.
Currently, Gate supports major US securities trading markets and liquidity networks including NYSE, Nasdaq, NYSE Arca, NYSE American, and BATS, covering over 10,000 stocks and ETF assets. After completing KYC and regional eligibility verification, users can utilize the TradFi section's stock area within the Gate App to conduct USDT transfers, view market data, and execute stock trades, achieving the unified integration of crypto asset accounts with traditional stock trading capabilities. Furthermore, Gate stocks operate on an independent account system, allowing users to buy, hold, and sell stock assets with separate fund management. Compared to holding costs in perpetual contracts (funding rates) and CFD products (swap fees, overnight fees), Gate stock spots offer zero holding costs, making them more suitable for users focused on long-term allocation of US stocks. Android users can experience the stock trading function after updating the Gate App to the latest version, while iOS users can access the relevant services after updating to version 8.21.5.
