Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson: Currently Focused on Finalizing a Memorandum of Understanding with the United States

Odaily Planet Daily News Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmail Baghaei stated that they are currently focused on finalizing a memorandum of understanding with the United States, describing the current mediation process with the U.S. as "time-consuming and laborious" because American hostility dates back decades. "We have discussed certain points and wording where differences still exist and have proposed suggestions, some of which are still under consideration, with all parties expressing their views," Baghaei was quoted as saying by the Islamic Republic News Agency. Baghaei also thanked Pakistan for its mediation efforts.

Esmail Baghaei stated that Iran has decided to focus its negotiations on ending the war across all fronts, including Lebanon. At the current stage, the details of the nuclear issue will not be discussed. Whether discussions on the nuclear issue will begin in 30 days or 60 days is a matter for the future.(Jin Shi)
