National Development and Reform Commission: Never Required Chinese Tech Companies to Reject Foreign Investment
Odaily Planet Daily News: The National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) held a press conference on May 22. Li Chao, Deputy Director of the Policy Research Office of the NDRC, stated that opening up is a fundamental national policy of China. China supports tech companies in integrating into the global innovation network and engaging in mutually beneficial and win-win international cooperation. It has never required Chinese tech companies to reject foreign investment.
He also emphasized that foreign investment must comply with Chinese laws and regulations and must not harm China's national security and interests. China will continue to implement the Foreign Investment Law and its implementing regulations, further optimize the market-oriented, law-based, and internationalized business environment, and strengthen risk prevention and control.
