Odaily Planet Daily News: Calculations based on U.S. Treasury Department data show that in March (the first month of the Iran war), Turkey almost completely liquidated all its holdings of U.S. Treasury bonds in a bid to bolster its local currency. Data shows that as of the end of March, Turkey's total holdings of U.S. Treasury bonds fell from $16 billion the previous month to $1.8 billion.
