US media: US intelligence indicates Iran is rapidly rebuilding its military capabilities, posing a significant threat if bombing raids resume
Odaily Planet Daily News According to CNN, two sources familiar with US intelligence assessments stated that Iran has restarted some drone production during the six-week ceasefire that began in early April. This indicates that Iran is rapidly rebuilding certain military capabilities that were damaged by US and Israeli strikes.
Four sources stated that US intelligence shows the Iranian military is rebuilding much faster than initially estimated. The sources indicated that the reconstruction of Iran's military capabilities, including the replacement of missile positions, launch pads, and production capacity for key weapon systems destroyed in the conflict, means that if Trump were to resume bombing operations, Iran would still pose a significant threat to regional allies. This also raises questions about the extent to which US and Israeli strikes can weaken Iranian military capabilities in the long term.
A US official revealed that while the timelines for restarting production of different weapons components vary, some US intelligence estimates suggest that Iran could fully rebuild its drone attack capabilities within six months at the earliest. "The Iranians have already surpassed all the timelines set by the intelligence community for reconstruction," the US official said. (Jin Shi)
