Odaily Planet Daily News: South Korean President Lee Myung-bak stated that he does not understand the rationale behind pre-tax profit sharing. While labor unions have the right to protect their own interests, certain boundaries must not be crossed.

President Lee emphasized that while individual interests should be respected, collective responsibility and solidarity are equally crucial. Labor rights exist to protect the interests of workers, not to pursue narrow self-interests through collective power.
