Lighter completes L2 "escape mechanism" verification, allowing users to withdraw to the mainnet even when the sequencer fails

Odaily reported that Lighter's official account on X announced the completion of an "escape mechanism" verification conducted by third-party L2BEAT. This means that even if the sequencer on the L2 layer malfunctions, users can permissionlessly withdraw funds from Lighter's L2 back to Ethereum, making it the first L2 Perp DEX in the industry to achieve this feature.
