Analyst: Retail BTC inflow to Binance hits all-time low, averaging just 314 BTC per month
Odaily Planet Daily News Analyst Darkfost posted on Platform X that the average monthly scale of BTC deposited into Binance by retail investors (referring to addresses holding less than 1 BTC) has fallen to its lowest level in history, currently only 314 BTC. During the bear market phase of this cycle, this indicator was approximately 1,800 BTC, and during the first peak in March 2024, it was about 1,200 BTC. For comparison, the peak retail inflow in 2018 reached 5,400 BTC, and in 2021, it was 2,600 BTC. In January 2024, this figure was still around 1,000 BTC, representing a decline of more than three times in two years. Darkfost pointed out that retail participation continues to decline, with some investors potentially having exited the market or shifted to indirect holding methods such as spot BTC ETFs.
