Russian state-owned oil company Gazprom has instructed 17 of its subsidiaries to open Digital Ruble accounts.

Odaily Planet Daily News: Russian state-owned oil company Gazprom has instructed 17 of its subsidiaries to open Digital Ruble accounts at the Bank of Russia, in preparation for compliance with regulations set to take effect on September 1st. Under these regulations, legal entities must be able to accept the Digital Ruble as a payment method for goods and services.

Testing of Russia's Digital Ruble began in August 2023. As of the end of 2025, more than 130 legal entity accounts had participated in platform testing. From September 1st, major Russian banks and large enterprises must provide Digital Ruble transaction capabilities to their clients. (bits.media)
