2026-05-15 10:24

Odaily Planet Daily News Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated in New Delhi on Friday that Tehran has "no trust" in the United States and would only consider negotiations with Washington if it shows a "serious attitude." During his attendance at the BRICS Foreign Ministers' Meeting, he said that Iran is trying to maintain the current ceasefire to create space for diplomatic efforts. According to multiple media reports, Araghchi emphasized Iran's long-standing lack of trust in the US and stated that any communication under the current situation depends on whether the US demonstrates a "serious and credible stance." He also said that Iran still hopes to leave opportunities for subsequent diplomatic engagement and de-escalation by maintaining the ceasefire. (Jinshi)
