Odaily Planet Daily News: The U.S. Senate Banking Committee has announced it will hold a voting hearing on the 2025 Digital Asset Market Transparency Act (Clarity Act) at 10:30 AM on May 14. The bill had previously stalled due to disputes over provisions such as stablecoin yields. Recently, Senator Tom Tillis and Senator Angela Alsobrooks reached a compromise, proposing to prohibit providing yields on static stablecoin reserves while allowing rewards for active stablecoins.

Although industry groups such as the American Bankers Association have expressed concerns about the text and suggested amendments, the committee's schedule indicates the legislative process will continue to move forward. Additionally, Senator Kirsten Gillibrand has recommended adding an ethics clause to the bill, prohibiting senior government officials from profiting from the crypto industry while simultaneously regulating it.
