Iranian Senior Official Calls U.S. 14-Point Proposal "Impractical," Emphasizes Negotiations Must Include "Tangible Benefits"
Odaily Planet Daily News: Mohsen Rezaei, a long-time advisor to Iran's late Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and former commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, stated that Iran will not allow the United States to reopen the Strait of Hormuz based on "an impractical plan" and then exit the conflict "without paying any compensation for all the damage caused to Iran." This statement responds to the 14-point proposal submitted by Washington to Iran through negotiating representatives.
Rezaei emphasized that for negotiations between Iran and the U.S. to achieve satisfactory results, they must include "tangible benefits," rather than the "hollow gestures" the U.S. is attempting to offer. He said that even if the U.S. withdraws its military from the region, Iran will still demand its rights and war reparations. Rezaei also stated: "We have tolerated them for 47 years and will continue on the path of resistance." (Jin Shi)
