US military says it will continue to enforce a comprehensive blockade on vessels entering and leaving Iranian ports
Odaily Planet Daily News: The U.S. Central Command issued a statement on social media stating that the U.S. Navy destroyer USS Pinkney deployed an armed helicopter that day in the Arabian Sea to intercept a merchant ship, which then complied with U.S. military instructions and, escorted by a U.S. warship, returned to Iran. The statement also indicated that the U.S. military would continue to enforce a comprehensive blockade on all vessels entering and leaving Iranian ports. Since the blockade began, 37 ships have been forced to alter course. U.S. President Trump stated on April 13 that the U.S. had imposed a blockade on all vessels entering and leaving Iranian ports starting at 10:00 AM Eastern Time that day. Iran, in response, stated that this action by the U.S. constitutes an act of war and violates the ceasefire agreement. (CCTV News)
