Republican high-ranking officials demand Lutnick halt crypto PAC political spending in Texas
Odaily Planet Daily News Republican high-ranking officials recently called U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, demanding his intervention in the spending plans of Fellowship PAC, a crypto political action committee supported by his former company Cantor Fitzgerald, in Texas.
The PAC previously disclosed in FEC filings its intention to spend $1.75 million to support Ken Paxton, raising concerns within the party about its involvement in a sensitive primary race. Sources said the PAC ultimately did not air related ads, and Republican officials later indicated that the concerns had been alleviated. Fellowship PAC is associated with Tether and previously stated its plan to raise $100 million for the 2026 election, having raised approximately $11 million so far. (Axios)
