Iran Deputy Foreign Minister: Safe Navigation through the Strait of Hormuz Must Be Coordinated with Iran

Odaily reported that Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Gharibabadi posted on social media on the 26th, stating that arrangements that are unclear, parallel routes, or decisions made without considering Iran's position as a littoral state cannot guarantee safe navigation through the Strait of Hormuz. Any credible framework must be based on coordination with Iran and compliance with Article 5 of the Iran-U.S. Memorandum of Understanding; otherwise, the established parallel routes will be suspended.
